Hi, I'm Marlene Miceli.
I'm a copywriter slash creative director, an ideas person, a cat person, and a creative powerhouse.
A bit about me
Somewhere around the time the Mall of America out-malled West Edmonton Mall, I found out I was pretty good at copywriting. Then, by the time Michael Jordan retired, came out of retirement, and retired again, I had racked up several accolades and promotions to back it up.
I've worked for ad agencies of varying sizes, from minuscule to massive. I've worked client side for one the largest pioneer brands in Alberta. And I've successfully hung out my own shingle for about half my career. Whether I'm on the working end of a chewed up pencil, or I'm directing and motivating creative teams, I've been known to help elevate the creative product at every turn. I focus on strategy, insight and quality. Also, spelling. Because typos drive me mad.
Creativity and responsibility had a love child. It's me.
It's no coincidence that great creative minds are also strategic ones. After all, what good is a big idea if it doesn't answer the brief, resonate with the right audience, or move the needle?
I can answer your brief creatively and strategically and teach others to do the same. With a focus on your brand's goals, I can mentor, advise, direct and craft. I'm also pretty great to hang out with. Just not past 9 p.m., please.
I work out of Edmonton, Canada. With this dude.
This is Marty. He's 16 and he doesn't give a flip if I'm in the middle of a video call to a CEO, he's going to show his butt. It's a level of confidence I can admire but never achieve.
I'm quite ok with that.
